Chicago's massive flood

 Hi all i am glad to be back, for those who do care  my home and and my entire block and neighborhood's homes were damaged  in the flood this past friday.  i hope those of you say a pray that you all didn't have to go thru wat we did. there are many  left with nothing. i am blessed to have my home being redone now and able to even be here. i came in today and noticed a few worried about rain, me being in westchester suburban area of illinios has taught me a lesson, showing concern for ALL your net friends goes further then just the 1's  u talk to everyday  (in simply words when some 1 is away for sometime it would be nice to know that people u communicate with online cares.( CHECK OUT ONLINE CHICAGO'S MASSIVE FLOOD THEN YOU TOO WILL UNDERSTAND THIS FORUM.> maywood,westchester,broadview,oakpark,villapark,bellwood,westsideof chicago. ( don't just worry about those you talk to everyday care about  ALL,people)

Glad you are back. I am sorry to hear about your home and neighborhood. I hope you didn't lose any irreplacable items (pics, etc.) Years ago one of my sisters lost everything when a flood wall failed and it was the sentimental items that were hardest for her to lose. I hope your home is repaired soon and your neighborhood as well. Hugs :)

Hi, I'm originally from Chicago, and worked in Maywood, I am now living in the southern part of the US, and have not watched much TV lately. So, I had no clue all those very familiar places in the Chicago area were under flood. Thats a lot of places, Villa Park, Oak Park are very far apart from one another, and that means this is truly a massive flood. I feel for you all !!! I've been in a flood in 1987 while living in Des Plaines just across the street from Golf Mill. All my stored possessions in the apartment basement were ruined. All of Des Plaines was under water due to the rise of the river.

I know what you are going through, and my heart goes out to each person effected by this calamity.
