secure connection

Why is it that when we sign into GP it is sent over an unencrypted connection and could easily be read by a third party?

I know GP is huge on security, so I highly doubt that this is possible...if you find that it is, I would not post that here...but email it to support@gamingpeak.com I think is the correct email.

Hi,

You are correct, we currently don't use SSL to encrypt your login. I will address this soon. Thanks for the heads up.

has this security issue been fixed yet?

Yes. Your login is no longer sent plaintext; it is encrypted before transmission.

For technical users: We do not use SSL, however the encryption-before-login (using SHA-1) ensures that your password cannot be hijacked by a malicious third-party.
